Position: Intern (Editorial)

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (Completed or On-going)

Language Requirements: English

Location: Flexible, with a preference for Delhi or Mumbai

Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

The intern’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following activities:

  • Collaborating with staff to create and coordinate NEERMAN’s online and social media content;

  • Updating and maintaining NEERMAN’s website, blog, and other social media platforms with information pertaining to organizational milestones or events;

  • Establishing and managing editorial processes for blog posts, white papers, and other publications that NEERMAN staff undertake;

  • Building up NEERMAN’s photo and media library;

  • Identifying and pursuing brand development opportunities, including participation in relevant conferences, seminar series, and other important events organized by stakeholders in the sector;

  • Preparing and modifying documents including basic correspondence, reports, drafts, memos, and emails.

Required Qualifications

  • Some post-secondary education; Bachelor’s degree (completed or on-going);

  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills;

  • Some experience in managing social media platforms, blogs, or other media;

  • Detail-oriented, with an ability to communicate ideas precisely, creatively, and clearly;

  • Previous experience or demonstrable interest in development and social research is a plus.


Location and Compensation

Location and compensation will be discussed once we find the right candidate for the position. Preferred location is with a NEERMAN office (Delhi, Mumbai), but there is flexibility to be located elsewhere if needed. Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
